Ocean Fishes（海水魚） はDon't Starve Together Return of Them モブ です。プレイヤーの周辺に海 があればそこから15～60秒に一度の頻度で魚群が出現します。現在17種類の海水魚が存在し、それぞれ重さ や食料 としての分類が異なります。中には特殊な効果を持つ個体も存在します。
[ ] Runty Guppy 、Needlenosed Squirt 、Bitty Baitfish 、Smolt Fry 、Spittlefish はプレイヤー自らの手で締めるか、一日放置して自然死させると小さい魚肉 になります。また、これらの魚を選択した状態でそのまま焚き火 などに持っていき調理すると調理済みの小さい魚肉 になります。Scorching Sunfish は少し特殊で、プレイヤー自らの手で締めると調理済みの小さい魚肉 になります（それ以外は前述の魚と同じ）。魚は生きたまま調理鍋 の材料に使用することができ、その際これらの魚は0.5ポイント分の肉類 及び0.5ポイント分の魚介類 として扱われます。
Mudfish 、Deep Bass 、Dandy Lionfish 、Black Catfish 、Dappled Koi 、Golden Koi はプレイヤー自らの手で締めるか、一日放置して自然死させると魚肉 になります。焚き火などで調理すると調理済みの魚肉 になります。調理鍋の材料に使用する際は1ポイント分の肉類及び1ポイント分の魚介類として扱われます。
Ice Bream はプレイヤー自らの手で締めると魚肉1個、氷 2個になります。一日放置して自然死させると魚肉1個のみになります。焚き火などで調理すると調理済みの魚肉1個になります。調理鍋の材料に使用する際は1ポイント分の肉類、1ポイント分の魚介類及び氷1個分として扱われます。
Popperfish はプレイヤー自らの手で締めるか、一日放置して自然死させるか、焚き火などで調理すると調理済みのトウモロコシ になります。調理鍋の材料に使用する際は調理済みのトウモロコシ1個分として扱われます。
Corn Cod はプレイヤー自らの手で締めるか、一日放置して自然死させるトウモロコシ になります。焚き火などで調理すると調理済みのトウモロコシ になります。調理鍋の材料に使用する際はトウモロコシ1個分として扱われます。
Fallounder 、Bloomfin Tuna はプレイヤー自らの手で締めると葉っぱ肉 になります。一日放置して自然死させる生ゴミ になります。焚き火などで調理すると調理済みの葉っぱ肉 になります。調理鍋の材料に使用する際は0.5ポイント分の肉類及び0.5ポイント分の魚介類として扱われます。
全ての魚はブリキの生け簀 に入れれば自然死しなくなります。
[ ] 海水魚は群れで生息しており、海用釣り竿 で釣り上げるか、Strident Trident で陸上へはじき出すことで捕獲可能になります。魚たちはそれぞれ生息場所や食いつくルアー の種類が異なります。
海釣りは池での釣りと違い、針にかかった魚が逃げようと踏ん張っている間（ギギギギと言う音と共に、キャラクターのモーションが変わっている間）にリールを巻くと糸を切られてしまいます。魚が踏ん張っていないタイミングでリールを巻きましょう。
なお、波浪～荒波エリアでは魚群発生時に7.5%の確率でロックジョー が出現します。船に飛び乗って噛み付き攻撃をして来るので、背びれが見えたら迎撃の準備を整えましょう。

Deep Bass（ディープバス） は波浪～荒波エリアに発生する海水魚で、出現率は波浪エリアでは「そこそこ」レベル、荒波エリアでは「普通」レベルです。この魚は特別に生息場所が専用のマップ アイコンで表示され、かつそのアイコンはその場で固定となります。アイコンの場所にプレイヤーが近づく、もしくはディープバスを捕らえようとするとマルバトロス が出現します。
ディープバスは海上に浮いている肉類の食べ物を食べてしまいます。釣り竿に引っ掛かったとき、自ら糸をたるませて針を外すためにプレイヤーのいる方向に泳いでいきます。（このとき魚の進む方向と同じ方向に船を動かしていると互いに併走する形になる）
